For many ages, magic was banned in the land of Kazu. Our story begins when you (an unnamed wizard) are caught practicing magic in wild. The king of Kazu is disgusted by your magic and sentences you trial by combat. You're afraid, but you are strong. And you will fight for your freedom to exist as your magical self.
